Consecutive Number Plate Spotting

Consecutive Number Plate Spotting (CNPS) is a typical time-killer / leisure game. It’s simple, though highly addictive, so be warned!
I learned about CNPS as being one of the many national sports in Finland, but apparently it has quite some tradition in the UK as well.

Here’s a quick summary of the rules … as I play them ;)

  • you have to spot each and every number on number plates, in consecutive order
(your start could look like the plates shown at the top)
  • the number you are looking for has to be the only one on the plate
(not a single extra digit on the plate)
  • only number plates from one country count
(you can play several games, one for each country, though)
  • you have to be sure you spotted the number
(not just a glimpse or an idea or something you’re not sure of)
  • it has to be consecutive
(even seeing the correct numbers within five minutes, but in the wrong order doesn’t count)
  • you have to see the number plates in person
(no videos, pictures, or people telling you, that you just passed one)

Enjoy :)
And yes, it’s just for fun.
