What it’s like to be a sailor…

picture taken from http://www.skovshovedhavn.dk/… today I at least got a bit closer to the answer to that question!
Instead of watching the France-Switzerland game I accepted Troels’ sponteaneous offer to go sailing… which in many ways turned out to be the right decision. First the game must have been somewhat boring (0:0) and second, the trip was just great… beautiful weather, windy enough to sail but not to windy to get seasick (which I was a bit afraid of)…

so just a perfect afternoon…

… unfortunately the evening (Brazil game) wasn’t as exciting…<

Danish student

looks like I might actually become a danish student quite soon… since I just got the results (8.5/9.0) of my IELTS exam, being the last hurdle to take…
let’s cross fingers that they wont find some new bureaucratic barrier

now the only thing that’s left is the actual thesis.

Kollegiegården

Last weekend I finally moved into my new room at Kollegiegården, the dormitory I mentioned before. Nice room with shared kitchen and bathroom… and the dormitory has a pool room, a bar, a gym and a laundry which you can check/book via the local net… cool isn’t it!
Anyway here’s a first glance… more cam be found in the pix section.

btw it’s

Ny Cykel

After another cold walk through Copenhagen last night I finally managed to get a bike (see picture) today. Since the price for parking in or around the city doubled since last time, it is even more necessary to have a bike in Copenhagen. After checking the good old Kvickly (where we got the bikes last time, and a cheap lock this time) I ended up buying the bike at Bilka onestop in Scandinavia’s largest shopping centre field’s, in the south of Copenhagen.

btw since this is a weblog I will take some more pictures with my webcam in the future… which is concerning the quality a bit like lomography.

Starting to feel home…

Great… just before I left Berlin some of our neightbours seemed trying to rebuild the house a bit… they were laying parquet or sth in the middle of the night. It’s just fantastic…
And guess what happened this morning… damn!
Which was especially bad since I came home at about six in the morning and they started at about nine… I’m lovin’ it!
To explain the late return… I was on my first “master-thesis-done-party”.
Which seams to be sth very big over here…
We had great fifty-people-three-course-menu-and-a-lot-of-alcohol-
brought-from-cheap-Germany-drink-as-much-as-you-can-party… I enjoyed it a lot (still not having any alcohol, for those who might ask)… Even though I was feared of the fact, that they might expect me to do a similar one???
