Encore, encore

<Yeah right… my supervisor just told me that he’ll get money so that I can stay for some more days in my CERN office to finish up my/our project… which means some more days in heaven! Even though the rest is mainly writing things up and dealing with bad bad c++ and python code. Anyway it’s great… And I will even have the time to concentrate on my work since the summer school is slightly fading off…
(greetz to all who have gone already)

To many errors

Horrible… today I probably had the worst day at CERN. I was trying to find solutions to a variety of error-messages arising from the usage of my new friend Athena and CMT.
And the worst part of the story is… I had the idea to deal with those myself… damit!
Hasssss
(the pic just shows one out of several error messages… btw the permissions are right?!)

Goodbyes, Zurich, art and spatial separation

Another week(end) is over… After a very nice italian dinner (last Wednesday) behind the CERN hostel, arranged by all the italian summer students, we had another GoogByeParty on Friday (greetz to Katrine & Mark) making people drown in sad mood and alcohol… nevermind.
I went ot bed early since we wanted to go to Zurich on Saturday… and so we (me and 4 sleepy people) did. In Zurich, which is btw a very nice city, we enjoyed and created art (can be found in the gallery) and joined a party in the National Museum of Switzerland.
Besides all that… I also had to experience the spatial separation (not to say loss) of my “siamese” friend… (May the Boogie be with you! Shaun – I’ll be back!)

Sadness, Skat, A new religion, StarWars

It has been a very sad weekend… since some of the summer students already left CERN and we had our first goodbye party on Friday… Anyway, life goes on… We also had our Grand Finale in the official SummerSchool2005SkatTournament, where I got third thanks to some (damn I should stop here)…
But in all this sadness I found something to guide me through my future life… a new religion:
PPJB – PartyPeopleJungleBoogie.
(btw thanx and greetz to the carrier that delivered this message)

After joining the B40camp last week and the first PPJB ceremony I was a bit to exhausted to join Saturdays “We identify SummerStudents as StarWars characters”-session. But I was happy to see that I got selected as the honourable Obi-Wan Kenobi…
