Double Fondue and the Escalade

This weekend was kind of exhausting … it started with cheese fondue at Regina’s on Friday (and cheese fondue is no fun … it tough work), continued with turkey-shopping for Wednesday’s Christmas Party and watching some friends running on the Escalade in Geneva and another cheese fondue at Daniel’s (the was a little lack of coordination … apparently) and ws rounded of with my shift this morning (7h-15h) and some korean food (which I am going to get in about two hours) …
all really nice, but usually just too much … puh …

Julefrokost and Heike in town

Another year … another Julefrokost (or Christmas Lunch, if you prefer).
This time the first one (at least for me) outside of Copenhagen, but since most of the young guys, from my time at NBI, are at CERN these days not much of a change …
the menue was (too) great and big as usual … fish, fish, fish and pork, pork, pork … and of course a lot of alcohol … after all its a Danish Christmas party ;)
A lot of fun that was even increased by the fact that Heike was around for the weekend (unfortunately only for the weekend :( )

Lyon, Pickpockets and Room Update

Well … not much happaning besides work these days, as you might have guessed from the little number of posts during the last days … on the other hand I didn’t do much work on the weekendm which was supposed to be reserved for work … oh man … anyway …

On Friday I drove Heidi, Esben and Troels to Lyon, so that they could catch there cheap flight, and visited the town for the rest of the day … its quite a nice city (as I already noticed in 2005) … and again I didn’t spent enough time there …

Yesterday I spent quite some time at a police station since one of my friends got his wallet stolen while we were out for dinner … and after that we ended up in some strange pub … but obviously not strange enough to drive us out …

Today I was again working on my ‘new’ webpage instead of doing work … so the pressure (got two talks, a validation shift and the CERN Guide introduction this week) is increase … but again obviously not enough …

Anyway … for those interested I put up a new picture of my room in Geneva …<

House Warming Geneva

Just finished the cleanup of my Geneva House Warming … its been a very evening with some (as approved by others) very nice chilli and a couple of other nice stuff brought in by my guests.
Writing about the guests … they also put some colour on my walls, finally.
The guestbook wallpaper was filled with its first entries …
If you want to be part just come on over … all yours!

Thanks to all of you who brought some food or even an inauguration present …
and special thanks to pot lenders …
