The year’s about to end, so it’s time to see how I/we spent the year 2025 in terms of computer games according to my Steam account. For a few more insights and game reviews/recommendations, check out my games page.
And here’s my 2024 review …
Caravan SandWitch is a relaxing, calm and enjoyable open world-adventure where one has to guide main character Sauge through a post-apocalyptic world on her quest to find her missing sister, Garance.
If you are in need to solve some not-too-hard puzzles walking and driving around in a beautifully designed and peaceful (you cannot die in the game) animated world, then this is your game … enjoy (I did)!

What the Car? is – just like its older sibling ‘What the Golf?‘ – is simply hilarious (and I repeat myself on purpose). In some cases even ridiculous, yet extreme fun to play (I think).
In its core a racing game, one has to steer a wide variety of ‘cars’ through mazes and landscapes to beat the time and find hidden items on (almost) all tracks.
Once again, definitely a recommendation for a some entertaining minutes (or hours, if you’re after achievements) in between. Enjoy …

Last week, I took part in the “International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis” for the fourth time*, representing Munich Quantum Valley (MQV) and showcasing its activities at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) booth.
* after SC22 in Dallas, SC23 in Denver, and SC24 in Atlanta
El Hijo – A Wild West Tale [German] is an isometric-view, real-time tactics stealth game, especially suited for kids, where you have to help a little boy to find his mother unseen by various opponents/villains.
It’s been a fun little distraction/adventure .. to calm down after/between nerve-wrecking platformers ;)
