Copenhagen Street Soccer 2006

Woohoo!
The “Academic Soccer Players” actually made it to the second round! Rock on!
For some explanations: This weekend there is the Copenhagen Street Soccer 2006 Tournament in which Troels, Esben, some of their fellows and me are taking part. And surprisingly we made it to the second round with a fabulous 4 wins in a row series… well, we got one win, because the team ran away just before the game (what is that supposed to mean?)… anyway!

More about the final round tomorrow…

ATLAS Inner Detector (ID) Barrel

Yesterday the ATLAS Inner Detector (ID) Barrel was tranported and installed into ATLAS. This includes the Transition Radiation Tracker (TRT) barrel which is the machine I am mostly working on…
It’s getting closer and closer to the point where the real physics will start…

Left Handers Day

Yeah right… there is a day for everything!
But it’s more this time… it’s the “Left Handers Day” today. And just about a year ago I wrote an entry about my observation that a lot of theorists around me are left handed (and/or color-blind)…
And now guess what… someone made a paper out of this… suspicious isn’t it?
Anyway… some guys from the Lafayette College in Pennsylvania published a paper which actually supports my theory… hah! They could even show (more or less) that among males with an university degree, left handers earn between 13 to 21 percent more in their jobs… hmm

Anyway²
Greetz to all left handers…
