I am back at particle physics’ heaven: CERN!
Driving down a friend’s car, sleeping at Troels’ and the carholder’s places and doing “some” work at CERN… mainly personal meetings to get started with my new work!
Had a nice view of the moon and venus out of Troels’ window last night…
Finally one of my birthday presents made it up the wall (right in the middle of the sleeping/working room)… well okay it has been there for some days now, but I only managed to express my happyness using this blog now!
It was pain in the a to actually get hold of the poster since it’s only sold in the states and the international support sort of doesn’t exist…
anyhow… isn’t it beautiful?!
I just saw the second sequel of the classic Ocean’s 11…
it’s maybe not as good as the first one, but I can without doubt recommend it to all Ocean fans
Yeeha… 5mins ago I finally recieved my contract!
Now the work that already started a week (or four) ago is official!
I am a member of the old and honourable DESY community…
and I’ll be working on the top of physics… or top-physics ;-)
For all non-physicists: it’s just another particle that you don’t know (and care) about ;-)
Well… let’s roll!
Here we go… its my first day as a payed employee at DESY-Zeuthen!
In some way also the first day of my PhD time here.
I got a desk with a view on “Lake Zeuthen”… but this might change after a some time…
and of course I am thinking about rearranging the desks in my office anyway (as always in new offices)…
Well now I got to work…
btw the map shows my location (also on Google-Maps)… I’ll post some pictures later on!
