Again I am going to the Annual meeting of the Danish Physical Society in Nyborg (June 1st-2nd)…
Just got the GO for a sponsored participation… which means some nice physics and food!

Summer University
Yeeha… and another one!
One year after the awesome summer in Geneva during the CERN Summer Lectures 2005 I will try another one… just got accepted for the European Summer University on “Particles and the Universe” in July in Strasbourg, France.
Probably not high end physics, but still interesting and fun… I guess

Wie geil is das denn?
sorry but I had to write that in German… it means sth like WTF?!
The internet is really great… you can find everything… things you would have never thought about… like this:
I found the link on a german Newspage (heise online):

If someone could explain that to me, please!
btw it was awarded for a Webby Award
Just have a look…
… it’s my favorite one.

Scientist’s salary
I just found sth nice about salaries of scientists…
Petro’s “Salary Theorem” states that:
engineers and scientists can never earn as much as business executives and sales people
and of course there is a mathematical proof for that, using known postulates:
Postulate 1: “knowledge is power”
Postulate 2: “time is money”
so here we go:
power = work / time (that’s highschool physics)
using the postulates it follows:
knowledge = work / money
solving that for money, we get:
money = work / knowledge
thus, as knowledge approaches zero, money approaches infinity, regardless of the amount of work done
=> the less you know, the more money you make
