Thanks to my little one I actually managed to be awake for the last transit of Venus in this century … yeah! He also gave me enough time to set up my telescope and after some breakfast (at least for him) also to follow the happening for almost two hours until the little black dot disappeared at about 6:55 am.

ATLAS model
Today I finally finished the video construction manual for the ATLAS brick model. After more than a month and uncounted hours in hot spotlights I finally uploaded all episodes today. All Full HD video clips along with some more instructions, tips and hints for the build can be found at:
http://atlas-model.mehlhase.info.
In addition I also created a time-lapse movie (see below) showing both the construction of the second ATLAS brick model, here at NBI, and the construction of ATLAS, down in the cavern in Geneva.
Three months
Time is running away … now it’s already been three months since the little one entered our life. And what should I say, it’s been a fantastic time so far … all of us are still learning something new every day. Recently Erik did his first front-to-back roll-over and he more and more grabbing and holding things. And with about 5700 g it’s also almost too late to call him the little one ;)
Noma once again the best of the world
Yesterday, Noma has been, for the third time in a row, chosen as the best restaurant in the world.
I guess that just means that I yet again have to enjoy a first class 24 dish menu … once I happen to find the money :|
