Just one week after my arrival in Geneva I already got myself a nice little pet.
I found I cute little annoying tick at the back of my left knee … dammit!
Here’s the little bastard that now graces our whiteboard in 32 2-A18 …
Pixar goes ATLAS
As I just heard today, Pixar took over an advisory role in the ATLAS outreach team.
It’s going to be interesting what this connection might produce ;)
Predictably irrational
Just finished reading a nice book about the irrational behaviour of humans. A collection of strange/funny/interesting things people do even if they do not want to or would not think of doing in the first place … anyway, its a nice book also introducing a lot of experiments that have been carried out (mostly on MIT students) to test these behaviours.
Its called: “Predictably irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions”.
Back at CERN
Back in Geneva, back at CERN … directly joining the first meeting after driving six hours from Frankfurt … man!
Now I am trying to settle down a little bit in my new room … before trying to figure out my actual task for the next months …
btw The PPJB Temple is still sacred ;)
Kunsten å tenke negativt
‘The Art of Negative Thinking‘ is another good/interesting scandinavian movie …
its about a disability support group visiting an involuntary member … bringing some unexpected turns into the group … quite enjoyable and ofter dark humor …
