9 a.m. and I just returned from an amazing F-Com session with Mr. Laurent Garnier. After it was first scheduled at Berghain, the tickets were sold for WMF (which was closed recently), it finally took place at Watergate. At 12 a.m. on a Thursday!? Anyway, it was certainly worth it … man my legs hurt!
LHC Re-Start Press Conference [Update]
Seems like the re-start of the LHC will be celebrated with a little press conference in our new remote control room at DESY in Zeuthen next Tuesday … which I will join, of course ;)

I just noticed that I didn’t post anything about this great movie I’ve seen recently. Hmm… just the cast is impressive and the movie is certainly worth seeing!

The time has come!!!
Today CERN officially announced March 30th 2010 as the date for first 7 TeV proton-proton collisions in the LHC! Bit sad though that I am sitting here writing my thesis … but time will come!

3.5 TeV World Record
Time for another world record!
The machine is fully awake now and this night for the first time ever accelerated two circulating beams to 3.5 TeV each. CERN immediatly released a press release this noon to share this achievement … it’s certainly getting exciting now …
