MAD Foodcamp Copenhagen 2011

I just came back from this year’s MAD Foodcamp Copenhagen, the festival for more crazy food.

Interesting little fair kinda thing, with lots of little stands presenting various kinds of food and drinks. Unfortunately the weather was kinda crazy as well and strangely enough the organisers seemingly haven’t prepared for that (here in Copenhagen???).

Anyway I had some woodruff- potato-English-cream-nitrogen ice cream; made my own self made Danish bon fire wok dish; and ate a few more appetisers.

Unfortunately the amount of information one could get at some of the stands was close to zero …
so it’s a really nice idea, that still could be improved a lot and possibly really nice on a sunny day :(

Braid

Yet another game from the Humble Bundle that I recently finished. Braid is a really nice platform or jump-and-run game with quite a twist in it. To solve the various and diversified puzzles you have to manipulate time. By going back and forth in time; while, depending on the level, either you or part of scene do not follow; you have to find parts of an actual puzzle to grasp the story of the game.

Really nice and certainly something new for me … http://www.braid-game.com/

And of course it’s available for Windows, MacOS and Linux.

Berlin’s the best …

… that shouldn’t surprise you much.

Though I have to say that it took me some time to get used to all the people, traffic and noise after a few months in Copenhagen. Also the difference in the number of cyclists is quite a change.

But anyways, we had a great time, also due to all the nice people that had time for us!

Thanks to my parents, we had a very nice dinner in the rotating restaurant on top of the TV Tower, enjoying the view onto the city while eating (and chatting). Of course we also had Berlin style Döner Kebap and Bratwurst during the days. A Sunday walk in the Tierpark (thanks and greetz to K+M+L+M) and a spontaneous trip to Hamburg (thanks and greetz to L+M) on the way home rounded off the (again slightly full, though still fun) programme.

Also I managed to get my famous (but damaged) DLR cup replaced (thanks to the C.P.).
