Today we finally got to celebrate ATLAS’ 25th anniversary.
After many meetings, lots of preparation and with a great team, we managed to publish six very nice, short videos about various aspects of the ATLAS experiment and collaboration on Facebook live. Already by now, we got about 4000 views on these videos.
Luckily we also had some time for a beautiful and tasty ATLAS-CMS birthday chocolate cake in between.

ATLAS is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and as of today we have a nice new font page on our web site and a dedicated ATLAS25 public web page, featuring a nice timeline of major milestones for ATLAS.
Symmetry (Fermilab and SLAC) just published a great kids book on particle physics …
definitely on my want list now!
And we need a German version …
Today I had another ‘Build Your Own Particle Detector’ event, for the first time at the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich. With about 50 participants to the contest and tons of chats within the seven-hour event, not a bad day ;)
