“Wildlife Photographer of the Year”

Yesterday we’ve been to the vernissage fo the “Wildlife Photographer of the Year” exhibition in the Museum für Naturkunde (Museum for Natural History) in Berlin. Until January 24th 2010 the musuem will host the best of about forty thousand shots send in to the content organised by the London Museum for Natural History and the BBC Wildlife Magazine.

It’s worth a visit and almost costs nothing … and you can see the rest of this very nice musuem as well …

Accelerate …

… it does! Finally the LHC has proven to be an accelerator as well! Yesterday a beam has been accelerated from the initial 450 GeV to 540 GeV. We’re getting somewhere …

Also yesterday, the PS, one of the pre-stages of the LHC, had its 50 anniversary.
Serving and accelerating all kinds of beams since November 24th 1959.
