Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty!

Oddworld: New’n’Tasty! is complete remake of 1997 teenage classic Oddworld: Abe’s_Oddysee and lots of fun to play. Just like the original, New’n’Tasty is a sidescrolling platform video game where one has to guide the main character, Abe, through various locations/levels and solve puzzles to free Abe’s fellow Mudokons.

Loads of nice designed levels, puzzles and videos in between as well as great gameplay make New’n’Tasty a lot of fun to play and a definite recommendation.

Lego Bricktales

Lego Bricktales is calm and relaxing puzzle adventure game – maybe mostly for fan of interconnecting plastic bricks – in which you have to help your grand father to rebuild an amusement park by solving puzzle in five different worlds. Do do so one has to learn and use multiple abilities, find treasure chests and (hidden) items, and help multiple non-playable characters in the different realms.

If you like playing with bricks – I certainly do (models, BYOPD) – it’s been fun to play and it’s a recommendation for in between more stressful games …

Caravan SandWitch

Caravan SandWitch is a relaxing, calm and enjoyable open world-adventure where one has to guide main character Sauge through a post-apocalyptic world on her quest to find her missing sister, Garance.

If you are in need to solve some not-too-hard puzzles walking and driving around in a beautifully designed and peaceful (you cannot die in the game) animated world, then this is your game … enjoy (I did)!

Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight is a beautiful and, in parts, ridiculously hard 2D platform action-adventure game in which players must guide the main character, the Knight, through a maze of underground worlds and districts, fighting numerous bosses along the way.

The game is extremely captivating and addictive, but also frustrating at times due to the high number of failures. It also brought back nice memories of the Ori games as well as Unbound: Worlds Apart. I’m not sure how to achieve things like finishing the game in under five hours, given that it took me over fifty hours to explore everything.

Anyway, I loved playing the game and I’m looking forward to playing part two at some point.

Omno

Omno is a fun little puzzle adventure game with some nice gameplay ideas. It may not have the deepest story or the best graphics, but it has its own style and is still fun to play.
