Tall Trails

Tall Trails was my cosy Christmas game for 2025. It’s certainly not a triple-A game, but it’s a fun and quick open-world exploration game in which you have to guide Alp, a little golem, on a quest to find his purpose.

You can (and have to) climb peaks (and sometimes weird/random objects), collect items and unlock different looks, styles and abilities in either a predefined standard world or randomly generated worlds. To collect all achievements, you will need to play multiple worlds.

As said, it’s simple yet fun, and therefore still recommended.

Caravan SandWitch

Caravan SandWitch is a relaxing, calm and enjoyable open world-adventure where one has to guide main character Sauge through a post-apocalyptic world on her quest to find her missing sister, Garance.

If you are in need to solve some not-too-hard puzzles walking and driving around in a beautifully designed and peaceful (you cannot die in the game) animated world, then this is your game … enjoy (I did)!

Wavetale

Wavetale is a 3D action adventure where you guide young Sigrid on her quest to save her fellow islanders from mysterious monsters and uncover secrets about her own family.

It’s a very laid-back ‘action’ adventure with nice visuals (though with a few hiccups here and there), a great soundscape, and some fun (but not too hard) puzzles, garnished with four little racing challenges. I liked it and maybe you will too ;)
