Children of Silentown is a somewhat dark point-and-click puzzle adventure game where one guides a girl called Lucy helping her to discover the secrets of her village and the seemingly dark forest, apparently inhabited by monsters, that surrounds it.
Nicely drawn, interesting story, fun to play .. recommended.
The Cub is a fun 2D puzzle platform jump’n’run where one has to guide a mutant child through various levels on a felt-to-ruins Earth, all while being hunted by ex-Earth Marsians.
A fun story, a nice soundtrack, some challenging achievements .. all adding up to a definite recommendation.
Boxville and Boxville 2 are two cute little point-and-click adventures, where you have to guide little metal-can fellas to solve puzzles as well as find and help friends.
A very nice, yet not too long, trip into click-and-point adventure land …
CLeM is a dark, yet fun little puzzle adventure, where you have to control a little puppet, guided by an initially somewhat mysterious voice. Throughout the game this interaction develops in a beautiful yet sad and moving story. But I don’t want to spoil too much …
It’s been a quick little puzzle delight and it’s a recommendation for indie adventure fans!
Journey is a beautiful, calm, 3D platform adventure with an interesting co-op twist. You can team up with another random player and embark on the journey together, but you can’t really communicate with them. Besides this co-op idea, limited jumps, depending on the charge of one’s magical scarf, are another interesting gameplay element.
Whether alone or teamed up, one has to guide a robed figure through various levels/regions toward a distant mountain, using only notes/chimes to communicate with the environment (or the other players).
It’s been extremely enjoyable, also trying to communicate and collaborate with the other players, all without chatting. A definite recommendation …
