This week, I went to Minneapolis to represent Munich Quantum Valley (MQV) at the annual March Meeting of the American Physical Society (APS).
Unfortunately, I had to leave a bit earlier than anticipated, due to the union strikes in Germany.

Yesterday, on the first day of our annual meeting with the Scientific Advisory Board of Munich Quantum Valley (MQV), we finally published the 2023 MQV Public Annual Report. It’s been a quite a bit of work to compile all the work done by so many people into a common piece, but I am very happy with the result …
This is apparently how I/we spent 2023 in terms of computer games … at least as far as my Steam account is concerned (which misses a lot of Minecraft with the kids this year).
Find more details and game reviews and recommendations on my games page.
And here’s my 2022 review …
Last week, I took part in the “International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis” (SC23) to represent Munich Quantum Valley (MQV) and all of its activities at the booth of the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ).
Fortunately, there was also a bit of time to see Denver and do some geocaching ;)
This time we had a close race, at least between the top three players, until the very last match. Obviously, I am very pleased with the turnout, so congratulations go to .. haha .. myself and Spain for winning the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup ;)
Also congratulations to Teresa and Bernd who manage to secure second and third place in the same household and with a significant lead over the forth place.
The trophies depicted above will soon find their way to all winners.
You can find all the stats and standings here (also a scoreboard, if you prefer) and also the football all-time stats have been updated.
Thanks to everyone for taking part and see you next time …
