I produced and just published a German version of the original overview video for the Belle II experiment at KEK in Japan. It’s now featured on the German Belle II YouTube channel and the German Belle II website, which I also helped to set up.

ATLAS Visitor Centre
Earlier this month, I had the pleasure to present the new ATLAS Visitor Centre at the Lepton Photon 2021 conference. It’s been great and fun to lead this project and to propose and develop at lot of new content together with great people within the ATLAS Collaboration, the CERN exhibitions team and the design company Point Prod in Geneva. And it’s great to finally see it come to conclusion and open up to the public once visitors are allowed at CERN again.
German 360° ATLAS tour
I recently finally finished editing a shorter version of a 360° virtual tour to the ATLAS experiment in German (well, Berlin-German), which you can find on my YouTube channel.
The English versions, both the full tour and the short version, are still available on the ATLAS YouTube channel.
Outreach Prize ceremony
Yesterday, I officially received the 2021 Outreach Prize of the High Energy and Particle Physics Division of the European Physics Society (EPS), that was already announced in May.
I am still very and honoured about the recognition for setting up and running the ‘Build Your Own Particle Detector‘ programme :)
EPS-HEPP Outreach Prize
I am very honoured that today it was announced that I am one three people to receive the 2021 Outreach Prize of the High Energy and Particle Physics Division of the European Physics Society (EPS).
The award is mainly given for setting up ‘Build Your Own Particle Detector‘ as an international outreach programme that reaches to an unusually young audience and for the design of particle-detector interlocking-brick models, by now used at over 60 places around the world.
