Honour & Glory
The group stage is over, 36 out of 51 matches played and 20 people have placed bets in this year’s UEFA European Championship.
Congratz to Bernd K., Janine, Lea and Michael for taking the lead after this initial step of the tournament. Quite an impressive show by some of you, I have to admit. Down below is the overview on player ranks after each match. As usual, you find all the details (schedule; standings; matchboards, yes there’s multiple; scoreboard; and alternative counting) on the Honour & Glory section.
Looking forward to an exciting round of 16!
Heavy long-lived charged R-hadrons
Today the ATLAS Collaboration published our paper on the “Search for heavy long-lived charged R-hadrons with the ATLAS detector in 3.2/fb of proton-proton collision data at √s = 13 TeV” on arXiv and submitted it to Physics Letters B.
After quite some work and the usual back’n’forth of the internal review, I (hopefully) have some more time for the heaps of new data coming in these days.
Accepted
Today the board of the Faculty of Physics at LMU Munich accepted my “Antrag auf Annahme als Habilitand“.
Not much time to write more … gotta go back to teaching, doing physics, writing papers and wrapping it up to get to the next step ;)
Honour & Glory
It’s time for this year’s (major) Honour & Glory event – EURO2016 is starting in a few days!
Remember to check your account and place your bets before the matches start!
The bets and some stats and plots will be visible right after kickoff and I’ll do my best to put in results quickly.
Looking forwards to another exiting (betting) event!
Let’s see who’s going to make this time … newbee or someone with history ;)
