30k+ on ATLAS 360°

I was just made aware that my 2020 virtual tour of the ATLAS Experiment filmed in 360° view has reached just above 30k views on YouTube.

Great to see that all the up and down in the cavern, spanning twelve levels and endless camera positions, apparently was worth the effort :)

For those of you that prefer a German tour: here you go, I made one just for you as well.

We spent the last two weeks, and part of the summer holidays, in Italy ..

Passing by Lake Garda, we spent one night close to Verona, to then cross the Po plain, have a hiking stop at the Stone of Bismantova and cross the Ligurian Apennines to get to La Spezia.

The 2022 UEFA Women’s Championship is over and the prizes just arrived and are ready to find their way to the winners.

Congratulations to team England, Troels, Lea and Michael!!

It was a close call for the first place at the end.

ATLAS Award

Today I got finally got the nice plaque for the 2022 ATLAS Outstanding Achievement Award I received earlier this year, for outstanding contributions to the ATLAS outreach activities.

Belle II video in German

I produced and just published a German version of the original overview video for the Belle II experiment at KEK in Japan. It’s now featured on the German Belle II YouTube channel and the German Belle II website, which I also helped to set up.
